This policy explains what personal information Wells Software Consulting LLC (doing business as IFHosting) collects through IFHosting.com and the Services, why, and what choices you have.
What we collect
- What you send us: name, email, company, phone and the content of order requests, contact forms and support tickets.
- Account and billing: billing contact and address, invoices and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Website usage: pages viewed, the referring website and whether a form was submitted. We do not use cookies or third-party analytics for this. Visitors are counted with a hash that rotates daily and cannot be linked back to an IP address; IP addresses are not stored with page views.
- Security data: server and form logs, including IP addresses, kept to protect the Services and investigate abuse.
- Bot protection: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes information about your browser to tell people from bots, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Data on your servers
Data you store on your servers is yours. We access it only to provide the Services you ordered (for example to run or restore backups), to keep the network safe, or when the law requires it. Where you process personal data of others on the Services, you are the controller and we act on your instructions.
How we use information
- To answer requests, provide and bill for the Services, and give support.
- To send service and account notices. We do not send marketing email without your consent, and every marketing message has an unsubscribe link.
- To secure the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- To understand which pages are useful, in aggregate.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business (data center and network operators, payment processing, email delivery, bot protection and backup storage) under confidentiality obligations; with our affiliate RentServers.com when a request is for GPU servers, multiple servers or colocation; and when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Retention
Order requests and contact messages are kept for up to 3 years. Account and billing records are kept as long as the law requires (generally 7 years). Server and form security logs are kept for up to 90 days unless needed for an investigation. Aggregated page statistics may be kept indefinitely.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK) you may have additional rights. Email support@ifhosting.com; we respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging and least-privilege access for staff. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected customers of a breach as required by law.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes and contact
