Effective 2026-10-28
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every Service from IFHosting. It exists to keep our network usable and legal for everyone on it. Violations can lead to suspension or termination under the Terms of Service.
Not allowed
- Illegal content or activity, including content that infringes copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Child sexual abuse material. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement.
- Unsolicited bulk email, or hosting websites advertised by it. Mail you send must follow CAN-SPAM and comparable laws.
- Phishing, malware distribution, botnet command-and-control, and sites that impersonate other organizations.
- Attacking, scanning or probing systems you do not own or have written permission to test, including denial-of-service attacks.
- Open proxies, open mail relays and open DNS resolvers that can be abused by third parties.
- Cryptocurrency mining, unless agreed in writing before ordering.
- Forging packet headers or email headers, or using IP addresses not assigned to you.
- Content or activity that threatens, harasses or doxxes individuals.
IP addresses
IPv4 addresses are assigned for a documented technical need and remain ours. You may not use them after your Service ends. Repeated abuse complaints against your addresses may lead us to reassign them.
Complaints and copyright notices
Send abuse reports and copyright notices to support@ifhosting.com with enough detail to identify the server and the problem (IP address, URL, timestamps with time zone, and logs where possible). We forward valid complaints to the customer and expect a response within 48 hours, or sooner for active harm. Customers may submit counter-notices through the same address.
Enforcement
We decide in good faith whether conduct violates this policy. Our response depends on severity: a warning, a requirement to remove content, null-routing an IP address, suspension, or termination. Where there is active harm we may act first and notify you immediately after.
